In the heart of Gothenburg, a new metro line has been under construction for years. Across the city, large wooden barriers have become part of the urban landscape. To ease the inconvenience for residents and passersby, these walls are being transformed with art and street murals.
Commissioned by Trafikverket, we painted a 40-meter-long and 4-meter-high wooden wall right in the city center of Gothenburg. The theme: Mother Nature.
She is portrayed as an older, sophisticated woman, surrounded by vibrant flowers and a Swedish blåtrast – the blue thrush – symbolizing the beauty of local nature.
